2009 Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Team Coaches

NCCP Coaching Clinic - C.B.S. - March 14-15, 2009
National Team Head Coach Marles Martin and
Table Tennis Canada Projects Coordinator Mireille Tallon were in C.B.S.
to put off a NCCP coaching clinic for coaches from all across the
province. The clinic was held at Villanova Junior High School in C.B.S.
Coaches were taught the Introduction to Competition where they learned
many components to coaching such as teaching technique to young
players, biomechanical movements, making ethical descisions, planning a
practice and much more. The event was a very big success as we had
coaches from all different parts of the province. Martin and Tallon put
off 4 other clinics across the country in Vancouver, Montreal,
Toronto and Halifax, out of those 4 only Montreal had more coaches in
attendance than our clinic. Coaches were in attendance from Churchill
Falls, Pasadena, Springdale, Bay Roberts, C.B.S., Paradise, and
St.John's. The NLTTA would like to thank Marles and Mireille for their
time and effort in the clinic and hopefully they will be back to give
more clinics in the future.
